**What You'll Do**
As an Early Childhood Teacher, you'll be a meaningful part of a dedicated classroom team, helping to create a safe, nurturing, and developmentally rich environment for the children in your care. You'll work in alignment with Step Up to Quality, USDA Adult and Child Food Program (CACFP), and Ohio Department of Job and Family Services (ODJFS) standards.
**Essential Functions**
- Partner with classroom teachers to plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities and assessments
- Attend to children's daily needs including feeding, dressing, and personal hygiene
- Foster children's emotional, social, and physical development and positive self-concept
- Observe children for signs of emotional or developmental concerns and communicate with parents, guardians, or appropriate authorities as needed
- Apply developmentally appropriate guidance and discipline strategies
- Maintain accurate records of daily observations, activities, meals served, and medications administered
- Conduct Point of Service Meal Counts and complete annual CACFP training
- Clean and sanitize toys, furniture, and play equipment
- Perform other duties as assigned
## Qualifications
**What You Bring**
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- At least one year of experience working with children preferred
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred; must be obtained within 30 days of hire and kept current
- Strong communication skills with children, parents, and colleagues
- Patient, understanding, and enthusiastic about early childhood development
- Knowledge of early childhood teaching strategies and childcare principles
- Must successfully pass a criminal background check
**Physical Requirements**
This role requires prolonged periods of standing and frequent bending. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds. Work environment may include exposure to illness-causing bacteria and viruses.
