## Description
**General Overview:**
This position is accountable for assisting servers and bartenders to ensure all diners have an exceptional experience.
**Key Areas of Responsibility:**

Customer Service

• Greeting and seating guests upon arrival
• Conduct all service with a friendly, helpful, and professional demeanor. Acknowledge all customers coming and going in the vesitbule.
• Communicate effectively with servers to notify them they have a table.
• Notice if a table has not been greeted by a server and ensure that they get service from a server or manager
• If a table has bypassed the host stand, ensure you greet them at the table and communicate effectively with them to ensure seating order has been kept
• Answer phone calls to add diners to the waitlist during busy times
• Take reservations, adhering to our reservation policy and legibly and accurately enter into the reservation book
• Accurately take and enter all take-out orders into POS system and ensure customer receives their correct order
• Ensure seating chart is up to date and organized
• Follow all company standards of service
• Comply with all health, safety, and liquor regulations
• Assist with bussing of tables during busy times

Monies and Gratuities

• Proper care and handling of cash drawer funds
• Collect all funds owed by customers for take-out orders
• Reconcile monies collected to the POS system and close Z
• Restaurant Maintenance and Operation
• Maintain organized and sanitary work area
• Stock host stand supplies
• Complete opening and/or closing procedures if assigned those shifts
• Check bathrooms for cleanliness
• Perform cleaning and minor facility maintenance during slow periods
• Roll silverware and other side work as assigned each night

## Qualifications

• Must have a 3 day minimum availability, including evenings and weekends, as necessary with fluctuation levels of diners
• Superior interpersonal skills and customer service skills and aptitude
• Adaptable, dependable and detail oriented
• Capable of diplomatically resolving any customer dissatisfaction
• Must be a self-starter and work effectively as part of a team, helping others if needed
• Must display positive attitude in managing interactions with others inside and outside the company
• Strong organizational skills and ability to multi task

Working Conditions

The physical working conditions of this position include an environment where standing 7-8 hours is routine. Must be able to lift up to 30 lbs. for short periods.
