## Description

**Position Summary:**

Peachtree Catering, the premier catering company of Greater Philadelphia, seeks talented, experienced Wedding Attendants for our upcoming busy season. This position is part-time. Our Wedding Attendants enjoy an excellent hourly wage and award-winning Peachtree cuisine. Most Wedding Attendants work 1-2 shifts/week though some work 3-5 shifts/week during our busy wedding season. This is a rewarding opportunity for motivated candidates.

We value team players with a sense of humor. Experience in retail and/or managing people becomes an asset to people in this position.

**Responsibilities:**

  • Opening of the facility including turning on all lights, setting thermostats, cleaning and getting the suite ready for arrivals, including the stocking and cleanliness of restroom facilities
  • Deliver any wedding party meals at set times with all necessary silverware, napkins, beverages, etc.
  • Confirm the space is correctly laid out with the floor plan
  • Set tables with correct flatware, glassware, and napkin fold per BEO notes
  • Using the décor list provided, set up any décor that needs to be placed as part of the event setup
  • Receive radio and be connected for lead team communication throughout the event
  • Help with any processional or ceremony duties the coordinator may need
  • Maintain the bridal suite
  • Cater specifically to the bride and groom from time of arrival to departure, checking back on them repeatedly and bringing food and refreshments.
  • Make sure the Event Manager and co-workers are aware of any members of the wedding party/families who may need special assistance (e.g., an elderly grandparent or a bridesmaid with an allergy). Provide that special assistance yourself or coordinate with management so that the needed assistance is delivered flawlessly.
  • Ensure all vendors are served meals
  • Ensure parents and the rest of the wedding party see and ideally taste each food item and specialty drink.
  • Take charge of any ceremonial items such as cake knife & spade, toasting flutes, sign-in book/frame, cake top, etc. If necessary, make sure these items are cleaned by hand, boxed appropriately and then sent home that night with the designated person.
  • Get table confirmation orders for the Sweetheart table and any VIP tables you have been assigned
  • Make sure clients are ready to head out by collecting and organizing all boxes, extra food, and presents in the wedding suite for them.
  • Clean up the wedding suite after all clients and guests have left

## Qualifications
**Qualifications**

  • Candidates should have excellent verbal and written communication skills and a polished, professional appearance and demeanor.
  • Candidates must possess fine dining knowledge and an innate sense of hospitality.
  • Ability to effectively problem solve.
  • Reliable transportation is a big plus but not an absolute necessity if you can navigate SEPTA and/or rideshare.
  • Possess some, or all of the following qualities/qualifications: RAMP certification, wine expertise, bartending training, general food and beverage knowledge.
  • Open weekend availability is essential.
  • 2+ years of FOH experience working in banquets and events, preferably in both an on-premise and off-premise capacity.
  • Excellent time management, attention to detail and follow-up skills are required.
