| **Position Purpose** | Applications are sought for adjunct instructors of English writing workshop and English Composition I and II courses. Courses may be taught on campus and/or at dual enrollment sites in area high schools. These courses are options for the fulfillment of the Cumberland University's General Education Core. |
| **Knowledge, Skills And Abilities** | - Demonstrated inter- and intrapersonal skills, especially in engaging with traditional and non-traditional university students. - Evidence of high level of personal agency and initiative. - Demonstrated organizational skills. - Successful use of multiple creative instructional strategies and technologies in the classroom and online to improve educational outcomes of diverse learners. |
| **Experience** | - Evidence of rigorous, creative, and effective teaching at the collegiate level. |
| **Education** | Completed Master's degree in English. 18 graduate hours in English completed as part of a Master's degree in related field may be accepted with other exceptional qualifications. |
| **Additional Information** | Available for Fall and Spring semesters on site at the main campus in Lebanon, TN and potentially at high school site(s) in Wilson County TN for dual enrollment courses. |
