**Job Purpose:**

• The Meat Attendant at PAY-LESS is responsible for ensuring the highest quality customer service in the meat department. This role involves maintaining product freshness, assisting customers with their selections, and supporting the overall operations of the department to enhance customer satisfaction and store performance.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• Provide exceptional customer service by assisting customers in selecting meat products and answering any inquiries they may have.
• Ensure the meat display is well-stocked, organized, and visually appealing to attract customers.
• Monitor product quality and freshness, removing any items that do not meet company standards.
• Assist in the preparation, packaging, and labeling of meat products according to store policies and health regulations.
• Maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the meat department, including equipment and work areas.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient workflow and support department goals.
• Stay informed about product offerings and promotions to effectively communicate with customers.
• Adhere to all safety guidelines and procedures to ensure a safe working environment.

## Meat Attendant
**Required Education:**

• High school diploma or equivalent.

**Required Experience:**

• Previous experience in a retail or grocery store environment, preferably in the meat department.
• Familiarity with meat processing and handling equipment.

**Required Skills and Abilities:**

• Strong customer service skills with the ability to assist customers in selecting meat products.
• Knowledge of meat cuts and preparation techniques.
• Ability to maintain cleanliness and sanitation standards in the meat department.
• Excellent communication skills for effective interaction with team members and customers.
• Ability to lift and carry heavy items, such as meat products and supplies, as required.
• Basic math skills for weighing and pricing meat products accurately.
