About The Role
## Description
**Position Summary:**
The Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) at WE LEVEL UP is responsible for providing high-quality nursing care to patients under the supervision of registered nurses and physicians. The role involves delivering compassionate and efficient healthcare services, ensuring the well-being and recovery of patients, and maintaining a safe and therapeutic environment.
**Position Responsibilities:**
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians and in accordance with nursing standards.
- Monitor patients' vital signs and report any significant changes to the healthcare team.
- Assist in developing and implementing patient care plans in collaboration with the healthcare team.
- Provide basic patient care, including wound care, hygiene assistance, and mobility support.
- Educate patients and their families about health maintenance and disease prevention.
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records, documenting care provided and patient responses.
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards of practice.
- Participate in patient assessments and contribute to the planning of care strategies.
- Assist in emergency situations, providing prompt and effective care.
- Support the healthcare team in maintaining a clean, organized, and safe environment for patients and staff.
## Qualifications
**Required Education:**
- Completion of an accredited Vocational Nursing program.
- Current and valid Vocational Nurse license in the state of employment.
**Required Experience:**
- Minimum of 1-2 years of experience in a clinical or healthcare setting.
- Experience in providing direct patient care and managing patient records.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems.
**Required Skills and Abilities:**
- Strong understanding of medical terminology and nursing practices.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively interact with patients, families, and healthcare team members.
- Ability to perform basic nursing procedures and administer medications safely.
- Proficient in assessing patient conditions and implementing appropriate care plans.
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- High level of organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to make sound decisions in emergency situations.
