Shepherd Church is seeking a passionate, service-minded **Cafe Manager** to lead the daily operations of Pillars Cafe. This is a unique opportunity for someone who loves hospitality, thrives in leadership and management, and desires to create a welcoming environment where people experience community and connection.

As the Pillars Cafe Manager, you will provide both strategic leadership and hands-on support, overseeing daily café and bookstore operations, leading staff, delivering exceptional guest experiences, and ensuring operational excellence. You will steward resources responsibly, foster a healthy and positive team culture, and create a space that guests love to visit and team members love to serve in.

Qualifications

  • 2 or more years of experience in café, coffee shop, restaurant, or food service management.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds and stand for extended periods while performing daily café operations.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, evenings, and special church events as needed.
  • Experience using point-of-sale (POS) systems (Toast) inventory management software, and Microsoft Office.
  • Excellent organizational, time management, and problem-solving skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
  • Strong commitment to exceptional hospitality and customer service, creating a welcoming environment for every guest.
  • Proven ability to manage daily operations, including scheduling, inventory, ordering, budgeting, and cash handling

Position

  • Non-Exempt, Full-Time position
  • Flexible schedule is required
  • Tuesday through Sunday with one additional day off during the week; weekdays are mostly 7am-3:30pm with extended evening hours to come.
