Medication Aide, Kenmare (725)

## Description

Administers medications under the direction of an RN or LPN. Knowledge of medications and their procedures to ensure safe administration. Requires numerical ability and clerical perception. Follows the 5 rights of medication administration to ensure accurate and timely administration of medications.

May be asked to work as CNA to assist when needed.

## Qualifications

**Licenses and Certifications Required**

• Current North Dakota MedAide II or MedAide III certification
• Current North Dakota CNA certification
• CPR certified required within 30 days

**Educational Requirements**

• None

**Experience Requirements**

• 1-2 years CNA experience preferred, but not required

**Special Skills or Training Requirements**

• Must be organized
• Good communication skills
