**Job purpose**

The Retail Sales Attendant handles all merchandise sales at the park’s two gift shops. What is a trip to an amusement or water park if you don't buy a souvenir? If you can handle the responsibilities of money, have an outgoing personality, and know how to sell, this will be the perfect job for you.

**Duties and responsibilities**

Sales

• Uses a cash register.
• Handling money.
• Uses a credit card machine.

Merchandise

• Be knowledgeable about the merchandise in the store.
• Tidy up merchandise shelves.
• Restocks merchandise from stock room.
• Assists in organizing stock room.

Cleaning

• Cleaning the windows.
• Vacuuming Gift Shop Floors.
• Cleaning the counters and shelves.
• Taking out the trash.
• Keeping the Gift Shop looking its best.

Comply with all policies and procedures of Funtown Splashtown USA

• Follow all policies and procedures of the department.
• Maintain professional appearance following all uniform guidelines.
• Attend all required department, interdepartmental, and park trainings.
• You may be assigned to other duties as necessary.

## Qualifications
**Qualifications**

• Must be at least 16 years old.
• Be confident talking to guests.
• Retail Sales experience is preferred, but not required.

**Working conditions**

• This job requires working in an air-conditioned gift shop.

**Physical requirements**

• This position involves a mix of sitting, standing, and walking short distances. This position may involve lifting up to 30lbs at times.
