Center for Positive Changes (CFPC) is seeking a compassionate and motivated **Mental Health Rehabilitation Technician** to join our multidisciplinary behavioral health team serving youth in our Short-Term Residential Therapeutic Program (STRTP).

This position provides hands-on rehabilitation services for children, adolescents, and transitional-age youth experiencing mental health and behavioral challenges. Working under the clinical supervision of the Assistant Program Manager (APM) and in collaboration with the Head of Service (HOS), you'll help youth develop coping skills, improve emotional regulation, and achieve meaningful treatment goals in a trauma-informed residential setting.

## Qualifications

# **Minimum Qualifications**

Applicants must meet **one** of the following

### Option 1

• Master's degree or PhD in a field related to the mental health treatment of children and adolescents

### Option 2

• Bachelor's degree
• At least 2 years of qualifying full-time mental health experience

### Option 3

• Associate degree
• At least 4 years of qualifying full-time mental health experience

Qualifying experience includes direct services in

• Behavioral Health
• Community Mental Health
• Residential Treatment
• Physical Restoration
• Social Adjustment
• Vocational Rehabilitation

# **What You'll Do**

Primary Responsibilities

• Deliver Specialty Mental Health Services (SMHS) within the Rehabilitation Technician scope of practice
• Facilitate skill-building, psychoeducation, and rehabilitation services for youth and families
• Reinforce treatment goals established by the clinical team
• Teach healthy coping skills, emotional regulation, communication, and independent living skills
• Support crisis intervention and behavioral de-escalation using trauma-informed practices
• Coordinate services with residential staff, social workers, probation officers, schools, and community partners
• Participate in Child and Family Team (CFT) meetings and multidisciplinary treatment meetings
• Maintain accurate and timely electronic health records
• Complete documentation in compliance with CalAIM, DHCS, STRTP, and Medi-Cal requirements
• Participate in weekly clinical supervision and submit documentation for co-signature
