*Please note: Weekend availability is required.*
**Hourly rate for Peer Support Specialist with Certification by DMHA as a Certified Peer = $17.50/hour**
**Hourly rate for Peer Support Specialist with NO Certification = $16/hour**

**Key Responsibilities**
- Support individuals with substance use disorders as they prepare for recovery and community reentry.
- Engage individuals early during booking and intake to identify recovery support needs.
- Provide one-on-one coaching and advocacy within the Vanderburgh County Jail using a person-centered, trauma-informed approach
- Connect participants with treatment, recovery, and community resources.
- Assist with reentry planning to promote successful transitions back into the community.
## Qualifications
**Qualifications:**
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Certification preferred; eligibility required.
- To be considered certified, must have either:
- Indiana Certified Peer Support Professional (CPSP-DMHA), or
- Certified Peer Recovery Coach (CPRC-A or CPRC – ICAADA)
