Job Overview

The Diesel Mechanic is responsible for servicing Heavy Equipment to maximize equipment availability using efficient and proactive preventative maintenance programs.

• Properly complete services and/or repairs on equipment and plant.
• Produces daily equipment inspections and documents findings.
• Checks behind operators to ensure the equipment is properly greased.
• Works with management on planning and scheduling services.
• Diagnose and troubleshoot units to resolve malfunctions.
• Follow checklists ensuring all critical parts are examined.
• Examine protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices on units, and adjust as needed.
• Test-operate equipment to ensure they run smoothly.
• Complete all work according to applicable safety requirements.
• Make every effort to achieve the production objectives set by management.
• Any other miscellaneous duties as assigned.

## Qualifications

Qualifications

• Ability to operate Heavy Equipment
• Experience with resolving electrical issues preferred
• Experience with plant maintenance preferred
• Heavy Equipment maintenance required
• Welding/Fabrication preferred
• CDL preferred
• Can manage multiple priorities or projects simultaneously and keep them progressing to completion.
