**Position title**: Receptionist
**Location**: Plant City, FL
### **Position Overview**
The Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for clients, families, volunteers, donors, and community partners at a non profit ranch offering equine assisted therapy. This role blends traditional front desk responsibilities with the welcoming, mission driven spirit of a therapeutic ranch environment. The ideal candidate is organized, compassionate, and comfortable working in a setting that includes horses, outdoor activity, and diverse client needs.

## **Key Responsibilities**
- **Front Desk and Client Support**
- Greet clients, families, and visitors with warmth and professionalism
- Answer phone calls, respond to emails, and manage general inquiries
- Assist clients with check in and check out procedures for therapy sessions
- Provide information about programs, schedules, and ranch policies
- **Administrative and Office Management**
- Maintain accurate records, forms, and documentation
- Schedule appointments, therapy sessions, and volunteer shifts
- Manage incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
- Keep reception and common areas clean, organized, and welcoming
- **Program and Staff Support**
- Coordinate with therapists, instructors, and ranch staff to support daily operations
- Assist with event preparation, donor visits, and community outreach activities
- Help maintain client confidentiality and compliance with organizational policies
- **Volunteer and Visitor Coordination**
- Welcome and orient new volunteers
- Track volunteer hours and assist with communication
- Provide tours or basic ranch information to visitors when needed
- **Ranch Environment Support**
- Maintain comfort working near horses and outdoor facilities
- Communicate calmly and clearly in a dynamic environment
- Assist with light tasks related to ranch operations such as directing clients to arenas and ensuring safety protocols are followed
## Qualifications
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Prior administrative or receptionist experience preferred
- Ability to multitask and stay organized in a busy environment
- Comfort working around horses and outdoor settings
- Compassionate, patient, and supportive demeanor
- Proficiency with basic office software
- Experience in a non profit, therapy, or animal assisted program is a plus
