**PWS Title: Hazmat Logistician**
**Clearance Type: Secret**

Responsibilities (including but not limited to)

  • Maintain inventory control, sustainment, replenishment and issue of hazardous material (HAZMAT) line items.
  • Ensures all hazardous materials are properly ordered, issued, receipted, and managed in strict compliance with applicable environmental laws, DoD instructions, and naval regulations.
  • Provide customer service support for the HAZMAT program to include activities such as fulfilling customer requests, stowage and compatibility considerations, provide necessary documentation to support procurement, and all disposal/disposition of HAZMAT activities.
  • Research and gathers all Safety Data Sheets (SDS) in support of HAZMAT program.
  • Maintain and inspect all HAZMAT spaces and keep them within Navy standards for inspections. Delivers comprehensive logistics support during Group and Echelon-level Logistics Management Assessments and Inspections (LMA/LMI).
  • Responsible for the accurate entry and management of all received HAZMAT within the Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS) to facilitate seamless inventory control and issuance.
  • Oversees and enforces the proper disposal of hazardous material and waste across commands, guaranteeing adherence to local, state, and federal environmental guidelines.

## Qualifications

  • Maintain forklift license up to 10,000lb capacity.
  • Complete and maintain HAZMAT required training through Environmental Compliance Assessment, Training and Tracking System (ECATTS).
  • Minimum five years’ warehousing and inventory management experience within the Department of Defense (DoD).
  • Minimum one year experience with the following systems: Enterprise Logistics Management System (ELMS), NAVSUP HMM Tool, NAVSUP OneTouch, Hazardous Materials information Resource System (HMIRS), Department of Defense SHELF-LIFE Program.
  • Minimum one year experience in ELMS, or equivalent database.
  • Must meet the requirements to obtain and check out government vehicles / CESE for use in their official duties.
