About The Role
## Description
The Field Service Technician is responsible for providing mechanical service and dairy equipment install and repairs for all United Dairymen of Arizona producers.
**Primary Duties & Responsibilities:**
The essential functions include, but are not limited to the following
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Keep accurate and legible records.
- Adhere to all UDA quality policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity.
- Adhere to all UDA safety policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity.
- Adhere to all UDA GMP policies and procedures, reporting any nonconformity

**Qualifications:**
General Skills & Abilities needed to complete job successfully
- Excellent organizational and time management skills.
- Must be comfortable working with and around livestock.
- Effective problem analysis and problem resolution skills.
- Strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to communicate effectively with a diverse range of individuals.
- PLC and process controllers helpful.
- Mechanical experience with drives, pumps boilers, air compressors, etc.
- Electrical experience 120, 240 & 480 volt systems.
- Must have commercial Freon refrigeration systems experience.
- Must be able to use technical manual and testing equipment.
- Must be familiar with dairy product concepts, practices and procedures.
- Strong knowledge of all aspects of a dairy.
- Must be able to make decisions impacting products and safety based on independent judgment and discretion.
- Must provide personal hand tools.
- Must be able to work with minimal direction and to be self-motivated.
- Requires ability to read, hear, speak, and comprehend and carry out verbal and written instructions.
- Shift work required, willingness to work nights, weekends and holidays.
**Experience: (required)**
- Minimum of 2 years in dairy maintenance or equivalent experience.
**Education/Certifications (Required):**
- Must have High School Diploma, or equivalent
- Must have a clean driving record to drive a company vehicle
**Work Environment & Demands**
- Physical and environmental demands for this position are indicated below:
- Occasional bending, crouching, stooping, twisting, reaching and grasping
- Standing and walking for extended periods of time
- Ability to climb stairs
- Some lifting, up to 150 pounds
**Environment:**
- Able to work 12-hour shifts
