With **four unique dining venues** across our campus, our cooks prepare everything from restaurant-quality meals to fresh, made-to-order dishes and nutritious meals served in our healthcare and cafeteria settings. Every meal you prepare helps create a memorable dining experience for the older adults we serve.

**β° Schedule**
- **8-hour shifts** scheduled between 5**:00 AM and 7:30 PM**
- **Every other weekend**
- **Holidays as scheduled**
- **π³ What You'll Do**
As a Cook, you'll prepare high-quality meals while maintaining exceptional food safety, sanitation, and customer service standards.
Depending on your assigned kitchen, you may work in
- π½οΈ **Fine Dining Restaurant** β Prepare beautifully presented meals in an upscale dining atmosphere.
- π₯ **Made-to-Order Kitchen (Line Cook)** β Cook fresh menu items to order in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
- π₯ **Cafeteria/Healthcare Dining** β Prepare nutritious meals in a high-volume setting that supports residents and healthcare services.
Responsibilities include
- Preparing breakfast, lunch, and dinner service
- Setting up and organizing your workstation before meal service
- Cooking menu items according to standardized recipes and quality standards
- Preparing ingredients and planning for upcoming meal periods
- Maintaining proper food labeling, dating, rotation, and storage
- Following all food safety and sanitation procedures
- Safely operating commercial kitchen equipment
- Communicating inventory needs and product concerns with the Chef on Duty
- Completing cleaning and closing duties
- Working collaboratively with fellow cooks and dining team members to provide an exceptional dining experience

The ideal candidate
- Has a passion for cooking and preparing quality meals
- Enjoys working in a team-oriented environment
- Takes pride in food presentation and customer service
- Can work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen
- Demonstrates strong attention to detail and food safety practices
- Is dependable and adaptable to a variety of kitchen settings
- Previous cooking experience in a restaurant, healthcare, senior living, hotel, or institutional setting is preferred but not required.

## Qualifications
**π¨βπ³**Graduate of culinary school or have 1 to 2 years cooking experience in a health care setting, restaurant or dining facility.
