Electrical Technician

## Description

TMC Staffing is seeking electrical technicians to assemble, install, and maintain electrical wiring, equipment, appliances, and apparatus. They ensure that the electrical systems in residential, commercial, or industrial settings function properly and meet national building codes.

**Key Responsibilities:**

• **Blueprint Reading:** Read and interpret electrical schematics and blueprints to determine the layout of wiring, circuit breakers, and outlets.
• **Wiring & Assembly:** Install and connect electrical wiring, switches, lighting fixtures, and power supplies.
• **Diagnostics:** Test electrical circuits, transformers, and components using advanced diagnostic tools (e.g., voltmeters, oscilloscopes, cable testers) to identify faults.
• **Repairs & Maintenance:** Replace faulty parts, troubleshoot short circuits, and conduct preventive maintenance to prevent electrical failures.
• **Code Compliance:** Ensure all work adheres strictly to safety protocols and local/national electrical codes (e.g., NEC standards).

## Qualifications
**Requirements:**

• Associate's degree or technical diploma in electrical technology, electronics, or a related field.
• Completion of a formal apprenticeship program or 2–5 years of on-the-job electrical experience.
• Journeyman or Master Electrician license, depending on the state and local jurisdiction.
• OSHA certification and a strong understanding of lockout/tagout procedures.
