Southern Health Partners is seeking a licensed Medical Provider (MD, DO, PA, or NP) to provide healthcare services at the Houston County Detention Center. This independent contractor opportunity offers a flexible schedule with approximately four on-site hours per week, making it ideal for providers seeking supplemental income while making a meaningful impact on an underserved patient population.

## Position Responsibilities

โœ… Conduct weekly on-site patient visits

โœ… Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions

โœ… Prescribe medications and review ongoing treatment plans

โœ… Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure continuity and quality of care

โœ… Provide evidence-based medical care while maintaining accurate clinical documentation

โœ… Support the healthcare team through consultation and clinical oversight as needed

## Qualifications

## Qualifications

โœ” Current Georgia license as an MD, DO, Physician Assistant (PA), or Nurse Practitioner (NP)

โœ” DEA registration, if applicable

โœ” Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Correctional Healthcare experience preferred

โœ” Ability to obtain and maintain facility security clearance

โœ” PA and NP candidates must maintain an active collaborating physician relationship as required by Georgia law

โœ” Applicants requiring a collaborating physician must already have, or be able to secure, a collaborating physician willing to enter into a collaborative agreement for this location

โœ” Collaborating physicians must meet all Georgia regulatory requirements, including practicing within the required geographic distance of the facility (currently within a 50-mile radius)
