Southern Health Partners is seeking a licensed Medical Provider (MD, DO, PA, or NP) to provide healthcare services at the Houston County Detention Center. This independent contractor opportunity offers a flexible schedule with approximately four on-site hours per week, making it ideal for providers seeking supplemental income while making a meaningful impact on an underserved patient population.

## Position Responsibilities
โ Conduct weekly on-site patient visits
โ Evaluate, diagnose, and treat acute and chronic medical conditions
โ Prescribe medications and review ongoing treatment plans
โ Collaborate with nursing staff to ensure continuity and quality of care
โ Provide evidence-based medical care while maintaining accurate clinical documentation
โ Support the healthcare team through consultation and clinical oversight as needed
## Qualifications
## Qualifications
โ Current Georgia license as an MD, DO, Physician Assistant (PA), or Nurse Practitioner (NP)
โ DEA registration, if applicable
โ Family Medicine, Internal Medicine, Urgent Care, Emergency Medicine, or Correctional Healthcare experience preferred
โ Ability to obtain and maintain facility security clearance
โ PA and NP candidates must maintain an active collaborating physician relationship as required by Georgia law
โ Applicants requiring a collaborating physician must already have, or be able to secure, a collaborating physician willing to enter into a collaborative agreement for this location
โ Collaborating physicians must meet all Georgia regulatory requirements, including practicing within the required geographic distance of the facility (currently within a 50-mile radius)
