We're seeking a Full-Time Medication Aide to join our healthcare team at the Marathon County Jail. This position offers a consistent evening schedule, full benefits, and the chance to work alongside a supportive medical team serving an often-overlooked patient population.

šŸ“ Location: Marathon County Jail | Wisconsin

šŸ•’ Schedule: 12:30 PM – 11:00 PM

šŸ“… Full-Time | Three 10-Hour Shifts Per Week | Includes Every Other Weekend

šŸ„ About the Role

As a Medication Aide, you play a vital role in ensuring patients receive safe, timely, and accurate medication administration. You'll work in a structured healthcare environment where attention to detail, professionalism, and teamwork help support positive patient outcomes every day.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer medications according to physician orders and established protocols
  • Monitor patients for medication effectiveness and adverse reactions
  • Maintain accurate documentation and medication records
  • Assist nursing staff with patient care activities as directed
  • Follow all facility policies, procedures, and safety standards
  • Support continuity of care through clear communication and teamwork

## Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required
  • Current CPR certification preferred (or ability to obtain)
  • Medication Aide certification preferred but not required
  • Willingness to obtain Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification after hire
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to safe medication practices
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a healthcare team
  • Healthcare, long-term care, or correctional experience preferred, but not required
