**Location:** Surry County Detention Center | Dobson, NC

**Schedule:** Flexible | Up to 3 Hours Per Week | Onsite

This is an ideal opportunity for a provider looking to supplement an existing practice, ease into retirement, or add a rewarding role with exceptional flexibility. Your clinical expertise will help ensure patients receive timely, quality healthcare in a structured correctional setting where every encounter matters.

### What You'll Do

✨ Conduct onsite patient evaluations and follow-up visits

✨ Assess, diagnose, and develop treatment plans for acute and chronic conditions

✨ Review and oversee medical care provided by nursing staff as appropriate

✨ Prescribe medications and treatments within your scope of practice

✨ Collaborate with an experienced multidisciplinary healthcare team

✨ Ensure accurate, timely documentation and compliance with correctional healthcare standards

## Qualifications

### Qualifications

βœ” Active North Carolina Physician, Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant license in good standing

βœ” DEA registration (or ability to obtain if required for prescribing)

βœ” Current CPR/BLS certification

βœ” Strong assessment, clinical decision-making, and communication skills

βœ” Ability to work independently while collaborating with nursing staff

βœ” Correctional, emergency, urgent care, family practice, or primary care experience is helpful but not required
