Southern Health Partners is seeking a **Certified Medication Aide (CMA)** to join our healthcare team at the Cabarrus County Jail. In this role, you'll play an important part in providing safe, timely medication administration while supporting our **Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program**. ๐Ÿฉบ What You'll Do

  • Administer prescribed medications accurately and safely in accordance with state regulations and facility policies
  • Complete daily medication passes for incarcerated patients
  • Assist with the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program
  • Check and document blood glucose levels as ordered
  • Respond to routine medical needs within the Certified Medication Aide scope of practice
  • Observe, document, and report patient responses, abnormal findings, or concerns to the nursing team
  • Maintain accurate medication administration records and documentation
  • Ensure medication carts and supplies remain organized and secure
  • Collaborate with nurses, providers, and correctional staff to deliver quality patient care
  • Follow all infection control, safety, and security procedures

## Qualifications
### โœ… Qualifications

  • Current North Carolina Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification
  • **Must be listed on the North Carolina Medication Aide Registry to be eligible for employment**
  • Demonstrated competency in medication administration and blood glucose monitoring
  • Ability to recognize and report changes in patient condition promptly
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Previous correctional healthcare or medication administration experience preferred
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills
  • Ability to work every other weekend as part of the rotating schedule
  • Must successfully complete a background check, drug screening, and facility credentialing requirements
