Southern Health Partners is seeking a **Certified Medication Aide (CMA)** to join our healthcare team at the Cabarrus County Jail. In this role, you'll play an important part in providing safe, timely medication administration while supporting our **Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program**. ๐ฉบ What You'll Do
- Administer prescribed medications accurately and safely in accordance with state regulations and facility policies
- Complete daily medication passes for incarcerated patients
- Assist with the Medication Assisted Treatment (MAT) Program
- Check and document blood glucose levels as ordered
- Respond to routine medical needs within the Certified Medication Aide scope of practice
- Observe, document, and report patient responses, abnormal findings, or concerns to the nursing team
- Maintain accurate medication administration records and documentation
- Ensure medication carts and supplies remain organized and secure
- Collaborate with nurses, providers, and correctional staff to deliver quality patient care
- Follow all infection control, safety, and security procedures

Qualifications
- Current North Carolina Certified Medication Aide (CMA) certification
- **Must be listed on the North Carolina Medication Aide Registry to be eligible for employment**
- Demonstrated competency in medication administration and blood glucose monitoring
- Ability to recognize and report changes in patient condition promptly
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous correctional healthcare or medication administration experience preferred
- Strong attention to detail and excellent documentation skills
- Ability to work every other weekend as part of the rotating schedule
- Must successfully complete a background check, drug screening, and facility credentialing requirements
