About The Role
## Description
Greater Louisville Early Head Start is seeking a compassionate and motivated **Home Visitor** to partner with families of infants, toddlers, and pregnant women through relationship-based home visiting services. This role is ideal for someone who values early childhood development, family engagement, and community-centered work.
As an Early Head Start Home Visitor, you will support parents in building skills, confidence, and connections that promote healthy child development during the most critical years of life. Key Responsibilities include:
- Conduct **weekly 90-minute home visits** with enrolled families
- Build strong, trusting relationships with parents and caregivers
- Complete family, developmental, and needs assessments
- Deliver **Early Head Start home-based curriculum** through everyday routines and interactions
- Facilitate **group socialization experiences** and family activities
- Collaborate with families to set goals and document progress through **Family Partnership Agreements**
- Recruit and enroll eligible families into the Early Head Start program
- Promote meaningful **parent engagement** in program activities and leadership opportunities
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation in accordance with Early Head Start requirements

## Qualifications
Associates degree in child development, education, social sciences or related field, or willing to obtain CDA. At least 2 years’ experience working with children and families in a human service setting. Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood preferred. Willingness to work primarily in the homes of families residing in high-need communities and having flexibility with respect to time and days able to work as well as to work tasks. Some evenings or varied hours may be necessary. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required.
