About The Role

## Full-Time PA or NP with Oncology Sub-Specialty Experience

Pagosa Springs Medical Center (PSMC) has an opportunity available for a full-time Physician Assistant or Nurse Practitioner who has oncology subspecialty experience. The APP’s duties will include management ofOncology and Infusion patients including examination, treatment, consultation, follow-up, referral, and ordering labs/imaging. The APP will also participate in patient satisfaction programs, quality improvement initiatives and any organizational or departmental goals and objectives to assure safe, quality care. The APP will work in PSMC’s Cancer Center forty hours per week (four 10-hours on-site shifts) to meet PSMC patient needs.

PSMC offers the following compensation and benefits for this position

  • Compensation is dependent upon experience and the range is:
  • Nurse Practitioner: $62.50 to $81.73 per hour.
  • Physician Assistant: $60.00 to $77.00 per hour
  • Starting work bonus: $10,000
  • 260 hours of PTO per contract year.
  • PSMC provides a CME allowance of $6,000 annually for full-time providers (gross subject to taxes).
  • Health insurance benefits are available to full-time employees.
  • PSMC provides professional liability insurance coverage to all employed providers.
  • PSMC has two retirement programs:
  • PSMC and the employee each contribute 6% of earnings to a 401a retirement plan subject to I.R.S. contribution and compensation limits and five-year vesting; and
  • Employees may voluntarily participate in a 457 retirement plan.
  • PSMC is a Public Service Loan Forgiveness eligible employer.

## Qualifications

The Nurse Practitioner must: have Oncology subspecialty experience, be certified by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) or the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP), possess a DEA license and a Colorado license.

The Physician Assistant must: have Oncology subspecialty experience, be certified by the National Commission on Certification of Physician Assistants (NCCPA), possess a DEA license and a Colorado license and comply with Colorado PA collaboration agreement requirements.
