High-Voltage Electrician Specialist

## Description
**Position Summary:**Responsible to install, maintain, and repair electrical equipment, conduits, wiring, and fixtures throughout campus.
**This position includes $3,000 signing bonus.**
**Essential Job Functions:**

1. Perform electrical preventive maintenance throughout campus. (Generator, Battery backup for switches, electrical panels, etc.
2. Prioritize work orders for light maintenance including but not limited to electrical components and systems
3. Read Electrical meters monthly throughout campus.
4. Monitor and keep electrical vaults clean throughout campus.
5. Perform work as required for electrical rough and finishes regarding Unity’s campus projects
6. Asist other departments regarding moving of outlets, switches, and low voltage.
7. Adhere to all company and departmental policies and procedures per the guidebook including all safety requirements including all safety guidelines.
8. Utilize electronic time management system to input time, attendance and paid off request.
9. Ability to work successfully with limited supervision

11. Sustaining and reliable attendance at the worksite and adhere to assigned work schedule. – *this position is not remote nor offers telework.*
12. Assist with on-call rotation responsibilities with the Maintenance Department.
13. Snow removal as required. This may require weekends.

**Non-Essential Job Functions:**

1. Knowledge of Johnson building automation systems preferred.

## Qualifications
**Education:**

• High school diploma or GED equivalent preferred but not required.
• Minimum of two (2) years of vocational or technical school or employment with a commercial electrical company.
• Electrical journeyman license a plus.

**Experience:**

1. Five (5) years’ experience preferred in industrial/commercial electrical trade.
2. Experience with small tools. introduction to maintenance duties and/or training with general electrical and mechanical maintenance in a commercial setting.
3. Demonstrated ability with written and verbal communication skills required to accurately follow verbal and written instructions and work order requests.
4. Proven work ethic and personal integrity to perform until each task is completed to inspection standards
5. Exceptional customer service skills with the demonstrated ability to meet strict deadlines and quality standards.
6. Demonstrated safety experience and follow OSHA rules in Unity’s working environment.

**Computer Skills:**

• Basic end user of computer keyboard and able to accurately enter data in electronic time management system.

**Certificates & Licenses:**

• Valid Drivers’ license – this position requires operating a company vehicle or personal vehicle for company use.
