## Description

**General Statement of Duties:** Providing engagement, support, and mentoring to residents of the Rose Hill Residential Rehabilitation, Transitional Living, and Community Support Programs.

**Essential Functions and Responsibilities:**

  • Engagement and mentoring of residents of Rose Hill’s Residential Rehabilitation Program.
  • Assisting the Admissions Department with family/potential resident tours.
  • Assisting newly admitted residents on the day of admission with the structure of the residential program, daily/weekly schedule and treatment experience.
  • Assisting staff with off-campus outings by accompanying residents and staff on outings.
  • Facilitating psychoeducation and didactic residential groups.
  • Facilitating recovery group for TLP/CSP participants.
  • Participating/supporting residents in the person-centered treatment planning process.
  • With requisite completion of training, licensing and experience, meeting with assigned residents for one-to-one mentoring sessions.
  • Participating in regularly scheduled communications with the resident’s treatment team, including the therapist, psychiatrist, vocational coordinator, and social communication specialist.
  • Other duties as assigned.

## Qualifications
**Qualifications****:**

  • High School Diploma or equivalent (GED certificate).
  • Recipient of mental health treatment or services for at least one year with a substantial life disruption due to a mental health issue.
  • Peer Support Specialist license or be eligible to complete training and licensing in the State of Michigan.
  • Sustained mental health stability for at least six months since the most recent residential treatment or hospitalization discharge.
  • Some college experience or degree.
  • Past work experience or training in the mental health/social services field.
  • Ability to meet the certification in CPR and First Aid.
  • Ability to meet the emotional, physical, intellectual, and social needs of the residents.
  • Capable of handling emergency situations.
