About The Role

Join our team as a Senior Software Engineer, where you will play a key role in the software development life cycle. You will work closely with the business to iterate over software requirements, develop tools and applications, automate tasks, analyze and debug systems, and perform validation and verification testing. You will also collaborate with internal teams and vendors to fix and improve products, and ensure that our software is up-to-date with the latest technologies.

Identifying, prioritizing, and executing tasks in the software development life cycle, collaborating with business to iterate over software requirements.
Developing tools and applications by producing clean, efficient code, automating tasks through appropriate tools and scripting.
Analyzing and debugging systems, performing validation and verification testing in a test-driven manner, and reviewing the work of others.
Experience with Service Oriented Architecture
Experience using system and performance monitoring tools (e.g. New Relic, DataDog)
Experience writing clean code that performs well at scale using Java
Experience with Docker, Kubernetes and Istio
Knowledge of scripting languages such as Python, Bash or Groovy
Team player
Being okay with the uncomfortable feeling that comes from learning new things
Solid experience writing RESTful API endpoints
Experience with AWS/Azure cloud services or equivalent
In-depth knowledge of relational databases (e.g. Microsoft SQL Server, MySQL)
Self-starter with the ability to deliver with minimal supervision
Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
Experience with UI development and frameworks (e.g. Vue.js, React, Angular)
Absolutely love TDD and have working knowledge of it
Experience with Ansible
Experience with Jenkins CI/CD pipeline
Has mentored others in a professional setting
Proficient in GIT
Excellent organization, critical-thinking and personal leadership skills
Nice to have React, Selenium automation and cloud experience
Experience with automated testing frameworks (e.g. Selenium, Cypress, RestAssured)
Experience with SAML, OAuth and OpenID Connect
Experience working on a SaaS product
Experience with Spring Boot
Linux and IP networking knowledge
Generative AI Code Assistants - Use of Generative AI Code Assistants (e.g. Github Copilot) and knowledge of latest Generative AI Model capabilities would be an asset
Proven experience as a great Engineer
On-call experience with production grade systems
BSc/BA in Computer Science or a related degree
