Join Current's Engineering team as a Software Engineer in New York. You will work on building and improving backend services, contributing to system design discussions, and delivering features that impact millions of members. You will have the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies and gain exposure to real-time transaction decisioning, stream-processing, and machine learning.

The ideal candidate should have a background in backend development and experience working with cloud-hosted services
This person should be eager to grow, comfortable taking ownership of well-scoped projects, and motivated to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong foundation in algorithms, data structures, and object-oriented design principles
Experience with RDBMS or NoSQL databases
Experience with cloud-hosted services, like AWS or GCP is a plus
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field
Strong problem-solving and communication skills
2+ years of software engineering experience, with backend experience using a JVM language, preferably Java
