Detection & Response Lead

Join Ramp, a growing security team, as a Detection & Response Lead. In this role, you will drive security detection and response initiatives, focusing on maturing our security detection and alerting capabilities across federal and public sector environments. You will respond to security requests and incidents, review logging and alerting sources, contribute to the creation and upkeep of runbooks and security alerts, and work closely with Ramp Security Engineers to improve security alerting and automated remediation. Additionally, you will utilize a log ingestion platform for security analytics and threat detection, and design and implement automation to detect and respond to threats.

• Conduire les initiatives de détection et de réponse à la sécurité au sein de Ramp, en mettant l'accent sur l'amélioration des capacités de détection et d'alerte.
• Répondre et assister aux demandes de sécurité et aux incidents soumis par les membres de l'équipe Ramp, en effectuant une triage initial des incidents identifiés.
• Collaborer avec les ingénieurs en sécurité de Ramp pour améliorer l'alerte de sécurité et l'automatisation de la remédiation.
• 3-4 years of information technology experience or the equivalent combination of education, technical training, or work experience
• Experience with query-based log management solutions (ELK, Datadog, Panther, etc)
• Ability to communicate complex security issues to peers and management in a clear and effective manner
• Strong written communication skills and the ability to succinctly document technical details
• Working experience in information security, especially on a Computer/Security Incident Response Team (C/SIRT), Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT), Computer Security Incident Response Center (CSIRC) or a Security Operations Center (SOC)
• Strong deductive reasoning and critical thinking skills
• Security Certifications such as CompTIA Security+, Network+, etc
• Prior experience working with government entities or in a highly regulated environment
• Experience with workflow automation tooling (Tines, Swimlane, etc.)
