Backend Software Engineer (Marketing Product)

About The Role

Join , the largest top-of-funnel surface for our company. As a Senior Backend Software Engineer, you will build platforms that enable multiple marketing teams to launch campaigns, ship landing pages, run experiments, and update content quickly. You will own the end-to-end development of self-serve tooling and partner directly with marketers, designers, and PMs to identify high-leverage workflows to automate. You should have at least 4 years of product engineering experience, a strong understanding of AI/LLM-augmented engineering, and a track record of building internal tools or platforms that reduce repetitive workflows for non-engineers. - Concevoir et développer des outils autonomes qui transforment les demandes marketing répétées en capacités de plateforme réutilisables. - Collaborer directement avec les équipes marketing, de conception et de gestion de produit pour identifier les flux de travail à automatiser. - Établir des normes de vitesse et de qualité, en réduisant la charge de tickets de l'équipe en rendant la demande inutile. - 4+ years of product engineering experience, ideally at a high-growth tech company, with a meaningful share of that time on user-facing or platform-tooling work - Velocity and ownership. You’ve built or shipped agentic workflows, MCP servers, or LLM-powered tooling - or you have a strong, opinionated POV on how to - Cross-functional empathy. You can sit next to a marketer, watch them struggle through a workflow, and walk away with a sharper sense of what to build than they could articulate - Strong product instincts. You can tell the difference between tooling that compounds and tooling that's busywork. You're comfortable saying no, scoping down, and shipping the right 70% over the wrong 100% - Demonstrated track record of building internal tools or platforms that materially reduced repetitive workflows for non-engineers. We're hiring for force multipliers, not feature implementers. Our FE applications are built with Next.js and Sanity CMS for the marketing site () our backend services use a mix of Python/TypeScript - Experience with marketing or growth engineering (CMS, experimentation, paid-ads pipelines, marketing analytics) - Experience with the modern data stack (e.g. ETL tools like Fivetran, workflow orchestrators like Airflow, data platforms like Snowflake) - Experience with MCP servers specifically, or with agentic systems that have to operate behind production guardrails - Experience building experimentation platforms (LaunchDarkly, Optimizely, Statsig, in-house systems) or hands-on running rigorous A/B tests - Background in SEO/AEO engineering, programmatic page generation, or AI-driven content workflows - Experience working closely with brand and design teams - has shipped pixel-perfect, brand-defining web surfaces and cared about it
