About The Role

Join eXalt, a leading consulting group in Europe, as a Test Automation Engineer. In this role, you will design and implement robust test automation strategies, optimize testing frameworks, and integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines. You will work closely with developers and DevOps, define comprehensive test plans, analyze test results, and contribute to performance testing activities. The ideal candidate has 5+ years of experience in QA, expertise in modern automation tools, proficiency in at least one programming language, and familiarity with CI/CD tools. Fluency in French and/or Dutch and full professional proficiency in English are required.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • **Automation Strategy:** Design, implement, and maintain automated test suites for web applications and APIs.
  • **Framework Engineering:** Optimize and evolve testing frameworks and infrastructure (UI & API).
  • **Shift-Left Integration:** Work closely with Developers and DevOps to integrate automated tests into **CI/CD pipelines**.
  • **Test Planning:** Define comprehensive test plans based on functional specifications and business requirements.
  • **Defect Management:** Analyze test results and logs, identify complex defects, and collaborate with dev teams on resolution.
  • **Agile Participation:** Fully integrate into Sprint ceremonies and contribute to end-to-end Agile QA processes.

### **Your Profile: The Quality Architect**
We are looking for a profile that combines a rigorous analytical mind with strong coding foundations.
**The Essentials:**

  • **Experience:** 5+ years of experience in QA, with a significant part focused on **Test Automation**.
  • **Tooling:** Proven expertise with modern automation tools: **Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright**.
  • **Coding:** Solid proficiency in at least one programming language: **Python, Java, JavaScript, or TypeScript**.
  • **API Testing:** Hands-on experience with REST API testing (e.g., Postman, REST-assured).
  • **DevOps Culture:** Familiarity with **CI/CD** tools (Jenkins, GitLab CI, Azure DevOps) and version control (**Git**).
  • **Management Tools:** Experience with Jira, Xray, or TestRail is a plus.
  • **Languages:** Fluent in **French and/or Dutch** with full professional proficiency in **English**.
