Senior Mobile Systems Engineer (Audio Team, Android & C++)

Join Roblox as a Senior Mobile Systems Engineer on the Audio Team. In this role, you will develop new functionality, pipelines, and workflows, and enhance existing ones. You will help implement our next generation real-time immersive audio simulation platform and adapt performance for the best quality on all platforms. Collaboration with different teams to deliver innovative new features is essential. A strong background in Android and C++ is required, along with a keen interest in developing audio expertise.

• Develop new functionality, pipelines, and workflows, and enhance existing ones for the audio simulation platform.
• Collaborate with different teams to deliver innovative new features and adapt performance for the best quality on all platforms.
• Take a practical approach to apply research efforts into the Roblox products and troubleshoot bugs and performance issues.
• Bonus: Console programming experience (PlayStation, Xbox, etc.)
• Domain Knowledge: You have Android and C++ expertise
• Bonus: Systems-level Bluetooth experience
• Troubleshooting bugs and performance issues

• You are highly skilled at performance tuning, and debugging and fixing production problems

• C++ programming
• Background: You have a BS in a STEM related field or equivalent experience
• Bonus: Experience with neighboring domains like Computer Graphics or Physics

• Experience designing refining and tuning algorithms
• You have 5+ years of experience delivering projects that include complex user workflows
