Head of Financial Planning & Analysis

Join CMC Markets as the Head of Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A). In this role, you will lead the FP&A function, providing insightful financial analysis and strategic advice to guide the company's financial health and growth. You will partner closely with senior management, oversee financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting, and support external reporting requirements. Additionally, you will manage a small team and drive continuous improvement in FP&A reporting processes.

• Lead the FP&A function, delivering insightful financial analysis and strategic advice to guide the company’s financial health and strategic growth.
• Partner closely with senior management to drive data-led decision-making, oversee all aspects of financial forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting.
• Manage a small team, ensuring the effective delivery of FP&A initiatives across the organization and acting as a trusted advisor to the broader finance function and executive leadership.
• Good presentation skills, able to produce concise documents that deliver meaningful information
• Excellent understanding of financial modelling, budgeting, and forecasting
• Proactive and open to change and willingness to reengineer and change processes
• Experience with segmental reporting, cost allocation methodologies, and regulatory reporting
• Proven experience in a senior FP&A role, ideally within a complex or multi-regional environment
• Advanced proficiency with financial systems and tools, along with strong Excel and data manipulation skills
• Qualified accountant (ACA/ACCA/CIMA)
• Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage senior stakeholders, including confidence to question and challenge
• Strong leadership and team management experience, with a focus on professional development and performance management
• Strong strategic and analytical skills, with a track record of providing actionable insights and recommendations
