Senior Network and Security Engineer

Join CMC Markets as a Senior Network & Security Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in designing, building, and supporting our global network infrastructure. You will work on both project delivery and business-as-usual operations, supporting critical trading platforms in a fast-paced, regulated environment. Your responsibilities will include implementing and maintaining our global LAN, WAN, and cloud network infrastructure, monitoring network performance, and leading the investigation and resolution of network and security incidents.

• Design, implement, and maintain CMC Markets’ global LAN, WAN, and cloud network infrastructure, ensuring high performance, resilience, and security.
• Monitor network performance, capacity, and availability, providing proactive support and troubleshooting, and lead investigation and resolution of network and security incidents.
• Collaborate closely with internal technology teams to resolve connectivity issues, and ensure all work is delivered in line with CMC Markets’ policies, procedures, and compliance obligations.
• Solid knowledge of Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switch platforms
• CCNP-level networking knowledge or certification
• Proven experience designing and building data centre and cloud networks
• Strong experience operating and troubleshooting Cisco ACI environments
• Excellent documentation, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Hands-on experience with multicast networking
• Experience supporting Market Data network feeds
• Exposure to SD-WAN technologies
• Experience supporting low-latency production networks within trading or financial services environments
• Experience with Cisco ASA and Meraki Wireless
• Hands-on experience with Palo Alto firewalls
