Director of Java Backend Engineering (Core Trading Technology)

Join our team as the Director of Java Backend Engineering, where you will set the technical direction for high-performance backend systems in a latency-sensitive electronic trading environment. You will lead a globally distributed engineering team, define and drive the overall technical vision, and oversee the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of complex front-to-back trading systems. You will also evaluate and introduce innovative technologies, champion AI-assisted engineering practices, and establish engineering excellence through architecture governance and technical mentorship.

• Expert-level hands-on experience in Core Java, including multithreading, networking, performance optimization, and scalable system design
• Proven track record in designing, developing, and delivering complex front-to-back enterprise systems end-to-end
• Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and English language skills, with the ability to engage effectively across both business and technical audiences
• Experience implementing high-performance, fault-tolerant, and load-balanced solutions, supported by solid mathematical and algorithmic knowledge
