Legal Counsel

Join Deutsche Bank as a Legal Counsel, where you will support our Capital Markets and M&A team, focusing on Equity Capital Markets, Mergers & Acquisitions, UK Corporate Broking, and Debt Capital Markets in the EMEA region. You will provide legal advice throughout the transaction process, assist with internal projects, and respond to legal and regulatory developments. Ideal candidates will have excellent legal knowledge, capital markets experience, and strong communication skills.

• Supporting the Equity Capital Markets (ECM), Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A), and UK Corporate Broking (UKCB) businesses, as well as the Debt Capital Markets (DCM) business in the EMEA region.
• Assisting in managing exposure to legal, regulatory, and reputational risk throughout the course of transactions, from initial pitch to completion.
• Providing legal advice and support for various transactions, including initial public offerings, private placements, M&A transactions, and Euro Medium Term Note Programmes.
• Excellent technical legal knowledge and skills (including contractual analysis and drafting), plus broad capital markets and corporate finance experience (with a focus on DCM and/or ECM), either in private practice at a leading law firm and/or at a leading financial institution. It is not a requirement for this role to have prior M&A experience, and we will coach and support as you become familiar with the requirements of the M&A business

• Have excellent oral and written communication skills
• You will have an interest in, and an understanding of, the current legal and regulatory issues and market practices affecting international investment banks and the conduct of the above businesses
• Legally qualified in England and Wales, the U.S. or another common law jurisdiction
• Be able to exercise good judgement and have demonstrated a thoughtful and practical approach to problem-solving
