About The Role

Join Deutsche Bank's Chief Security Office as a Secure Software Development Specialist. In this role, you will drive the integration of security services into the software development process, define secure coding standards, and educate engineers on security best practices. You will collaborate with application teams to identify security threats and create/update security guidelines for engineers. A strong background in IT security, software development, and security standards is required.

  • Defining and continuously enhancing secure coding standards, guidance, and best practices to support security in software development.
  • Collaborating with application teams to identify application security threats and moderating the threat modeling process.
  • Educating engineers on security best practices, organizing training sessions, and maintaining open communication with engineering communities.

  • Proven IT security experience in previous positions
  • Good understanding of Software Development Lifecycle (SDLC) processes and tools used by developers
  • Knowledge in software development and coding (e.g. Java or any other programming language)
  • Knowledge of security standards such as ISO 27001 (or equivalent), OWASP Top 10 (e.g. encryption, security certificates, authorization and authentication, configuration), and prior experience in threat modelling (e.g. STRIDE, MITRE ATT&CK)
  • Strong security culture and like spreading security solutions across teams. You like teamwork and engagement with development teams, like to collaborate with anyone around and help people and you are independent and proactive
