Senior Security Engineer (Data Platform)

Join DWS's data infrastructure team as a Senior Security Engineer. In this role, you will focus on understanding the threat landscape, architecting integrations with security tools, collaborating with vendors, security monitoring, threat remediation, and cloud infrastructure automation. You will design and integrate secure cloud and on-premises infrastructure, deploy and manage scalable cloud infrastructure solutions, and configure and manage internal security solutions. Strong collaboration and communication skills, experience in DevSecOps practices, and a passion for cybersecurity are essential.

• Architect and integrate security monitoring tools (SIEM) into cloud environments, ensuring compliance with security policies.
• Deploy and manage scalable cloud infrastructure solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and/or Snowflake using Infrastructure-as-Code.
• Implement and maintain security best practices, ensuring security is embedded throughout the development lifecycle and compliance is upheld.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills and a passion for cybersecurity with a strong aptitude for identifying and solving security challenges in enterprise environments
• Experience in DevSecOps practices, infrastructure automation, IaC (e.g. Terraform), security tool integrations
• Fluent in English (written and spoken)
• Fundamental hands-on experience in cloud security, preferably GCP. Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field is a plus
• Good knowledge of SIEM tools and technologies, such as Google SecOps. In-depth knowledge of cloud services and best practices for cloud security
• Extensive experience in securing critical enterprise data flows on Snowflake or similar platforms including DLP, access control design and data protection
• Very good programming skills in Python, Java or a similar language
