About The Role

Join Silvus, a leading technology company, as an Applications Engineer-I. In this role, you will conduct a wide range of technical activities related to applications/solutions engineering and customer and sales support. You will work closely with customers and the Sales team to drive product development and be a key component in enabling the development of cutting-edge systems and technologies. Your responsibilities will include designing and testing complete solutions, defining new products and features, providing comprehensive support to customers and the sales team, and creating and maintaining customer-facing documents and content.

Conduct a wide range of technical activities relating to applications/solutions engineering and customer and sales support.
Design and test complete solutions that solve unique technical problems, and define new products and features to fill gaps.
Provide comprehensive support to customers and the sales team through troubleshooting, system integration engineering, product recommendations, and technical analysis.
Excellent organizational skills and attentiveness to details
Must possess an ability to work independently, take initiative, multitask, and effectively interact with cross-functional teams and customers
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Engineering Technology, or related technical field
Willingness to travel and work at customer sites
Proficiency with PC office applications and mobile devices
Strong verbal and written communication skills are a must to effectively communicate with customers and internally across the entire organization
Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts
Proficiency with instruments such as spectrum analyzers, multimeters, signal generators, and other radio frequency and data network test equipment and testing
All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test
Proficiency with programming languages such as Python or C/C++
Familiarity with Linux
Experience with testing embedded radio communication systems
Knowledge of wireless communication systems, radio frequency signal propagation, and digital communication technologies
Experience with operating and testing IP radios/modems
Proficiency with TCP/IP protocol and networking
