About The Role

Join Motorola Solutions as a Cloud Security Engineer, where you will be part of a team responsible for the security of our mission-critical Cloud Public Safety Application SaaS platform. You will manage cloud security across commercial, government, and federal environments, implement proactive vulnerability and threat detection systems, and ensure regulatory compliance.   • Monitoring and assessing the security posture of cloud infrastructure and deployments across AWS, Azure, and GCP.
  • Deploying and maintaining security capabilities, including CNAPP, Vulnerability detection, WAF, and firewalls.
  • Developing tools for automated self-verification of security functions and supporting automated inventory and security alerting.
  • Atleast 5+ years of experience as a Cloud Security / DevSecOps Engineer with a strong background in cloud platform and cybersecurity
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen
  • Familiarity with tools used to secure cloud and containerized deployments such as Wiz or Prisma Cloud
  • Cybersecurity: Understanding of cybersecurity and compliance concepts and framework adherence (e.g., NIST, ISO, FedRAMP)
  • Must be able to obtain background clearance as required by government customer
  • The candidate must be in the office once a week at one of the following locations: Chicago, IL , Schaumburg, IL or Allen, TX
  • CI/CD & DevOps: Knowledge of containerized software deployments using AzureDevOps Pipelines or GitHub Actions
  • Quick learning: Curiosity and ability to quickly learn new technologies and security practices as the cloud landscape evolves
  • Education: A Bachelor's or Master’s degree in computer science, software engineering or a related field is preferred
  • Our customers also require US citizenship and residency for this role
  • Version Control: Knowledge of version control practices (GIT)
  • Network Security: Understanding of network protocols, topologies, and firewall/WAF configuration and use
  • Systems & Monitoring: Basic Linux system administration skills and familiarity with the Elastic stack
  • Cloud Platforms: Good understanding of AWS, Azure, and GCP is required, though deep domain expertise is not a prerequisite
  • Experience with Kyverno policy management
  • Containers & Orchestration: Experience with Containerization (Docker) and orchestration using Kubernetes
  • Software Engineering: Ability to develop code and automation scripts in Python, JavaScript/NodeJS, Bash, or Azure CLI
