About The Role

Join Silvus, a leading provider of advanced wireless communication solutions, as a full-time Embedded Software Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for implementing various software components, including MAC protocols, network management software, security protocols, and audio streaming applications. You will also analyze and improve product security, develop testing software, and maintain device drivers and board support packages.   • Implementing software for MAC and mobile ad-hoc networking routing protocols, network management software, and security protocols.
  • Analyzing and improving product security and robustness to meet regulatory requirements, and implementing testing software for product performance.
  • Developing and maintaining device drivers and board support packages for ARM and RISC-V based systems, and customizing Linux systems.
  • Expertise in C programming and experience in Linux kernel driver development
  • All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test
  • Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical, Computer, or Communications Engineering, Computer Science, or relevant engineering fields
  • Must be a U.S. Citizen due to clients under U.S. government contracts
  • 3 years of relevant embedded system software development experience; 1 year of relevant embedded system software development experience with an advanced STEM degree
  • Masters of Science degree in Electrical, Computer, or Communications Engineering, Computer Science
  • Knowledge and experience of different security protocols and encryption algorithms such as suite of CNSA algorithms
  • Demonstrated experience with socket programming and various Internet/Ethernet protocols
  • Understanding of MAC and Networking layer of a communication system
  • Experience in AMD UltraScale+ MPSoC and Microchip Polarfire SoC BSP support package development
  • Deep understanding of Internet Protocol Security (IPsec), network protocols, data authentication and encryption
  • Linux Interrupt Service Routine development
