About The Role

Join our team as a Senior Software Architect, where you'll lead the technical direction of our video management system (VMS) and integrate AI capabilities into our platform. This hybrid role combines strategic planning and hands-on engineering work, allowing you to set technical direction, evaluate new technologies, and work closely with product, security, and engineering leadership. You will be based in Vancouver, BC, and must reside in the Greater Vancouver area.

Architecting the integration of AI capabilities into the video management system (VMS) platform, ensuring scalability and performance.
Leading the technical direction of the VMS, making architectural decisions, and working hands-on with engineering teams to solve complex problems.
Establishing engineering standards and quality through code reviews, architectural decisions, and providing technical guidance to engineers.
Experience with DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and test automation
Extensive experience building distributed systems in C++ or C#
Familiarity with Postgres or other relational databases
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
Experience integrating AI services or APIs into production applications
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
Experience with modern languages like Rust or .NET frameworks
Strong understanding of microservices, real-time data streaming, and database design
Track record of shipping large-scale systems to production
Background in video streaming, media processing, or security/surveillance systems
Experience architecting modern client applications (React, TypeScript, or similar frameworks)
10+ years of software development experience in C++ or C#
