About The Role
Join Silvus, a leading provider of advanced communication solutions. As a Web Interface Software Engineer, you will play a key role in the development of our MANET radios and advanced research projects. You will be responsible for developing, maintaining, improving, and testing the web interface and network management software for the Silvus StreamCaster radio. This is a rare opportunity to work on cutting-edge technology in a flexible and supportive work environment.
- Participate in the development of Silvus’ MANET radios and advanced research projects by developing, maintaining, improving, and testing the web interface and network management software.
- Develop applications running on the Silvus StreamCaster radios, ensuring they meet the required specifications and functionality.
- Collaborate with the Software Engineering team to implement best practices in web interface development and contribute to the overall success of the projects.
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
- Minimum 1 year demonstrated experience in JavaScript, HTML, and Python backend development
- Experience in mobile friendly web interface development
- Employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test
- Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen, or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts
- Experience in UI test automation
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee is required to do the following:
- Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves
- Kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves
- Experience with C programming
- Occasional exposure to heat, cold, and allergens while performing tests or demonstrations in the field
- Walking/Moving in the labs
- Office environment
- Lift equipment up to 20 lbs. for the set-up of demonstrations and testing
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or Computer Engineering
- Demonstrated expertise in JavaScript, HTML, and Python backend development
