About The Role

Join our team as a Senior Accountant in a SaaS environment. You will be responsible for financial reporting, accounting operations, and ensuring compliance with US GAAP. Your role will include managing month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, preparing journal entries and financial statements, and analyzing financial results. You will also support internal and external audits, assist with accounting system implementation, and manage corporate income tax compliance.   • Manage and execute month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparation and review of journal entries, account reconciliations, and financial statements.
  • Ensure compliance with US GAAP, including revenue recognition under ASC 606, and maintain accurate revenue recognition in a SaaS environment.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales, RevOps, and Customer Success, to ensure accurate accounting and provide insights to management on financial results.
  • The ideal candidate possesses strong technical accounting knowledge and a solid understanding of Canadian tax regulations
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data analysis)
  • Reliable, adaptable, and able to meet tight deadlines (e.g., a maximum 4-day close)
  • Strong knowledge of US GAAP, with ASC 606 revenue recognition
  • 3–6+ years of progressive accounting experience, with public accounting experience
  • Experience with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) and ERP systems (e.g., NetSuite)
  • Process improvement mindset with the ability to scale accounting operations
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to collaborate cross-functionally
  • Quick learner who can work independently and effectively in a team environment
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Exposure to SOX compliance and segregation of duties
  • CPA designation required
  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
