Site Reliability Engineer

Join LayerZero as a Site Reliability Engineer (SRE) and be part of a team dedicated to crafting and maintaining large-scale, resilient systems. You will monitor system capacity and performance, enhance system efficiency, develop robust infrastructure, and reduce manual workload through automation. Your work will involve building and maintaining blockchain node infrastructure, collaborating with product and platform engineers, and automating incident detection and resolution processes. You should have a strong background in distributed system design, high availability architecture, and experience with Kubernetes and Typescript or Golang development.

• Build, monitor, and maintain blockchain node infrastructure for a variety of Distributed Ledger Technologies (DLTs), ensuring reliability and performance.
• Collaborate with product and platform engineers to proactively address reliability, scalability, and observability, and develop scalable infrastructure using code.
• Automate incident detection, triage, and resolution processes, and participate in the on-call rotation for systems owned by the team.
• Deep familiarity with blockchain node infrastructure (e.g., running validator/full/archive nodes, RPC optimization, etc.)
• Strong background in distributed system design and high availability architecture
• Advanced knowledge of Unix/Linux internals and systems administration
• 3+ years of experience with Kubernetes, including Helm chart authoring
• Excellent communication skills and a collaborative, problem-solving mindset
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, similar technical field of study, or equivalent practical experience
• 4+ years of experience as a Site Reliability Engineer, DevOps Engineer, or similar role
• Strong proficiency in Typescript or Golang development—with ability to build tools, services, or automation
