Senior Software Engineer (R&D)

Join Commure, a fast-paced R&D team focused on transforming emerging technology into impactful solutions for healthcare. As a Senior Software Engineer, you will research, productize, and deliver cutting-edge technology to customers, while establishing best practices for code quality, testing, deployment, and observability. You will collaborate with product managers, designers, and clinical experts to create intuitive solutions for real clinical environments.

• Research emerging technologies and figure out how to productionize them for healthcare.
• Build the infrastructure that orchestrates, evaluates, and runs sub-agents, including the channel adapters that intelligence flows through.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and clinical experts to ship intuitive solutions that work in real clinical environments.
• Professional software engineering experience, ideally in a high-growth or startup environment
• Hands-on experience integrating LLM APIs or building AI-powered features in production
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent experience, required
• Experience in fast-moving environments where shipping quickly is the norm
• Strong fullstack skills — Python on the backend (required), Javascript/React on the frontend, with working knowledge of containers and cloud (Docker, Kubernetes)
• Strong debugging and problem-solving skills with a history of demonstrated resourcefulness
• Track record of driving work from early ideation to successful production deployment
• Strong communication skills — comfortable working with both engineers and non-technical stakeholders including clinical teams
