Cost Engineer

Join NUVIA UK, a leading organization in the nuclear, defense, and energy sectors. As a Cost Engineer, you will work closely with project managers to provide informed forecasts, track costs, and produce cost reporting outputs. You will also attend monthly supplier project meetings, raise purchase and contract requisitions, and monitor costs against change. The ideal candidate will have a detailed working knowledge of cost engineering functions, experience in cost management, and strong communication and presentation skills.

• Collaborate with the Project Manager(s) to provide informed forecasts for the Project and ensure alignment with the programme.
• Produce Cost Reporting Outputs in a timely manner for month-end reporting, inputting into all relevant internal financial systems.
• Attend monthly supplier Project Meetings and carry out associated contract administration as required, via CEMAR.

**Experienced Required:**

• Ability to communicate cost and performance information to peers/project managers/stakeholders in a way that is understood by all.
• Detailed working knowledge of cost engineering functions, cost control and cost analysis.
• Experience of working in a wider Project Controls team, understanding the importance of aligning the cost forecast to the Programme.
• Detail-oriented and organised, with experience of identifying, analysing, and solving problems.
• Good presentation and reporting skills.
• Educated to diploma level.
• Ideally 2+ years’ experience in cost management.

**Desirable Skills and Experience:**

• Diploma level educated.
• Relevant Professional Membership or working towards.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel.
• CEMAR experience
• NEC experience, preferred.
