About The Role

Join Menard Ireland, a leading ground improvement company, as a Geotechnical Engineer. In this role, you will oversee the delivery of ground improvement projects, contribute to project planning and execution, and ensure compliance with safety and engineering standards. You will work both on-site and in the office, supporting teams across Ireland. The ideal candidate will have a degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology, with 2-8 years of experience in geotechnical engineering.

  • Oversee projects and ensure successful delivery, including coordination of workload and resources with operations and commercial teams.
  • Contribute, support and deliver essential aspects of tendering, design, planning, execution and reporting of ground improvement works.
  • Prepare, collate and review documentation for submission to clients, including offer letters, design reports, safety statements, design calculations, drawings, production reports, lift plans, certification documents and other documents as required.

Profile

  • Degree in Civil Engineering or Engineering Geology (BEng) with:
  • o a Geotechnical Engineering or Engineering Geology (MEng, MSc) with 2–5 years’
  • experience; or
  • o 3–8 years’ experience in geotechnical engineering, piling, ground improvement or
  • site investigations.
  • Strong understating of geotechnical design from first principles including but not limited to
  • ground improvement, foundation behaviour, retaining structures, site investigations and slope
  • stability assessments.
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office and Autocad.
  • Knowledge of software such as Plaxis and Slope/W is beneficial.
  • Ability to travel and work on project sites across Ireland as required or requested.
  • Strong time management and attention to detail.
  • Ability to adapt to changing project needs and work under pressure.
  • Excellent organisational, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
