Heavy Civil Intern H/F

Join VINCI Construction Grands Projets Canada, a leading construction company specializing in major civil engineering and building works. As a Heavy Civil Intern, you will support civil engineering document preparation, estimations, planning materials, and early cost and risk reviews. You will assist with quantity checks, procurement lists, meeting follow-ups, and create simple visual materials for internal use. This internship offers a unique opportunity to work on a significant project, the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station refurbishment program, which involves designing and building a new deep-water intake in Lake Ontario.

• Support the preparation of civil engineering documents, basic calculations, and technical notes.
• Contribute to estimating activities, quantity checks, and early cost evaluations.
• Attend design coordination meetings and produce follow-up notes as needed.

Your skills

• Currently pursuing a degree in Civil Engineering, Geotechnical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Familiarity with engineering tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar is an asset
• Interest in tunneling, heavy civil construction, underground works
• Solid analytical, organizational, and problem‑solving abilities
• Strong communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
