About The Role
Join TSSD Services, Inc., a leading provider of professional and technical staffing solutions in the energy and utility sectors. As the Operations and Payroll Manager, you will oversee day-to-day operations, ensure regulatory compliance, manage client relationships, and provide financial and administrative oversight. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
- Oversee day-to-day company operations, including HR, finance, and recruitment, ensuring strong communication and collaboration across all functional areas.
- Maintain full compliance with all applicable nuclear regulations and client requirements, helping to develop, maintain, and operate in accordance with quality assurance plans.
- Serve as the primary operational point of contact for clients, partners, and subcontractors, building strong relationships and ensuring projects are delivered on time and within budget.
**ABOUT THE ROLE**
This newly created role marks an important step in supporting TSSD’s continued growth and organizational evolution. The Operations and Payroll Manager/Director will oversee the company’s day‑to‑day operations and ensure seamless coordination across functional areas. Reporting to the NUVIA North America CEO, this position will also provide leadership to a small team.
The role requires a hands‑on, operationally focused manager who is comfortable driving a broad range of responsibilities and delivering consistent, high‑quality execution across an expanding business.

- Willingness and ability to travel regularly to client sites and nuclear facilities.
- Proven ability to manage sensitive information with a high level of confidentiality and accuracy.
- Strong communication, leadership, multitasking, and problem‑solving skills.
- Demonstrated experience overseeing operational activities within a small business environment.
- Minimum of 8 years’ experience in operations and/or business administration within staffing, workforce solutions, and/or the nuclear or energy sector.
- Experience managing project staffing or specialized workforce deployments.
- Experience in client management and client‑facing engagements, including issue escalation and resolution.
- Experience managing project financials, including revenue, gross margin, net margin, and pricing models.
- Experience managing complex, multi‑jurisdictional payroll and payroll tax compliance.
- Experience overseeing human resources functions, benefits administration, ACA compliance, and multi‑jurisdictional labor law requirements.
- Direct experience with operating or decommissioning nuclear facilities, Department of Energy nuclear sites, EPC contractors, or other nuclear/renewables/energy sector engagements is an asset.
- Familiarity with NQA‑1 programs, 10 CFR Part 26, and 10 CFR Part 50 requirements is preferred.
