Pre-Contracts Engineer

Join our team as a Pre-Contracts Engineer, where you will play a crucial role in shaping projects from initial tender to contract award. You will work closely with our Estimating, Design, and Project Delivery teams to develop winning proposals and innovative solutions across civil, structural, and remedial engineering projects. Your responsibilities will include coordinating technical and commercial inputs for tenders, analyzing project documentation, supporting pricing and risk assessments, and collaborating with Project Managers post-award. This is a senior role with exposure to high-profile, technically challenging projects and offers a long-term career pathway in a specialized engineering field.

• Coordination of technical and commercial inputs for tenders and proposals, including analysis of project documentation.
• Support in pricing, risk assessments, and value engineering initiatives, and liaising with designers, subcontractors, and suppliers.
• Preparation and presentation of tender documentation for management review, and collaboration with Project Managers post-award.

Key Responsibilities

• Coordinate technical and commercial inputs for tenders and proposals

• Liaise with designers, subcontractors and suppliers for technical data and pricing

About You

You are an engineer who thrives at the front end of projects – analytical, collaborative, and commercially aware. You enjoy the mix of technical detail and strategy that comes with pre-contract work.

Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering (or related discipline)

Experience in estimating, tendering & project engineering for civil or remedial projects

Strong understanding of construction methodologies, design principles and risk management

Excellent written and verbal communication skills

A proactive, solutions-focused mindset and strong attention to detail
